Can a hotel with only one room be called a hotel? I first heard of this brand "One Hotel" that has only one guestroom. I thought...isn't that just a guest house? But taking a closer look at The One Hotel Angkor in picturesque Siam Reap, Cambodia I can sort of see why it can be called a hotel. It's all in the amenities!
It is located on a commercial street in the heart of the action. It even has a lobby and gift shop. The fact that there is only one room makes it that more exclusive and special. Can you imagine sitting on this fabulous roof terrace in a tropical wonderland having a birds eye view of all the action, while still having ultimate privacy?
Besides the roof top deck and well appointed room, guests are given a cell phone upon check in, on which they can call up the owner on any whim and have service of any kind within minutes. There is also a chef on call that can make 2 meals per day, especially for you. This looks like a great concept and novel way to travel.
